Two Chinese Carved Tourmaline Snuff Bottles
19th Century
清晚期 碧璽瓜果形鼻煙壺兩支
the first a watermelon tourmaline peach-form example, carved in reticulated relief to the green portions with bats, leaves, and smaller fruits; the second of deep pink tone and ovoid form, carved in relief with pomegranate, peach, and Buddha's hand citron; green tourmaline stoppers.
Height of taller 1 3/4 in., 4.5 cm.

Condition
Each appears in good stable condition with some bruising at the extremities, free of loss. The watermelon tourmaline example with larger internal fissures.
